Savannah

Okay, I love Savannah. I want to move there. Like, now. I love southern hospitality and I love southern food. I love that it is on the water and they have squares where you can sit and read. There are great stores and SCAD and the SCAD store. You can buy a victorian home in the historic district for under $500,000! This is an amazing city! Seriously, go. Stay at The Mansion at Forsyth Park. Eat pralines. My gosh, I almost forgot about pralines! I could write a whole favorite things on those alone. Okay, done with my nerdiness. Going back to work now.

Thrifty Cotton Candy Ice Cream

I don't know how to put into words how much I love this ice cream. I tried it for the first time over a month ago and have searched every Rite Aid I drive by to find another store with this wonderful ice cream. This past Saturday I finally achieved success! I have found a Rite Aid by my house that carries this masterpiece! I had a scoop on the spot and had a hand packed quart made to take home as well. My friend who was with me tried it and she too is now a fan.

So, why should everyone love this wonderful, creamy, extremely colorful ice cream? Let me list the reasons for you:
1. It seriously tastes just like wonderful spun sugar. How can there be ice cream that actually tastes exactly like cotton candy?
2. The color is so grotesque in its deep purple, hot pink, and play-doh blueness that you can't help but love it. They're colors that only a child is supposed to be intrigued by, yet the fact that it turns my whole mouth blue makes me love it even more.
3. The smell of cotton candy reminds me of annual trips to see Ringling Bros. circus. Who doesn't like a childhood memory?
4. One scoop and one quart totalled under $5! When one medium plain Pinkberry "yogurt" costs $5 that really looks like a steal.
