Tarte Holiday Lipgloss Set

I love Tarte Cosmetics year round, but their holiday sets this year are fantastic! I especially love this Tarte gloss set. They have all these vitamins in them to make your lips softer and healthier! All the colors are totally wearable including the bright red! I wore it to my company holiday party and felt very festive! Not too mention the size-these glosses fit perfectly in your pocket without being too small like some glosses. And lastly, the clutch. It is a fabulous gold and perfect for a holiday party. It too escorted me to my recent holiday bash! Check out Tarte's website to see all the great offerings for this holiday season!

You're So Money!

Okay, I love this book. I have read many finance books, including others for twenty-somethings and this is the only one that is actually doable and makes sense. I highly recommend buying it if you are in your twenties and single. Farnoosh gives great tips on how to prioritize what you want to spend your money on. I don't want to give away her ideas for free after she spent time writing this book, so if you would like to see what she says go on Amazon and type in "You're So Money" and BUY!

Diet Coke

Okay, I don't know why it has taken me this long to post this as one of my favorite things, but I LOVE Diet Coke! I think I have an addiction. I don't know if you've met others like me, but there is definitely a subculture of people who will drink nothing but Diet Coke. And, I am talking only Diet Coca-Cola. I refuse to drink Coca-Cola regular, Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, or any generic brand. I once went to five different bars in Springfield, Illinois searching for one that served Diet Coke. Apparently in Springfield, IL the only place that serves Diet Coke is McDonald's. I was just at a venue in Chicago as well that didn't serve Diet Coke and I had serious issues all day. I couldn't get it off my mind. I just love it. Its a cheap favorite. It has no calories. And though I had problems getting any this last week, for the most part its easily accessible. Let's face facts, its my drug of choice.

Cupcakes

First off, my apologies for not posting for months! I'm trying to get better at it. Or should I say, I'm going to try and be better at it.Okay, so I realized I did not yet talk about my ultimate favorite...the cupcake. I can't explain why I love a cupcake so much, but I do. It's probably partly the fact that its portable, cute, small, and comes in a variety of flavors. Now I jumped on the cupcake bandwagon long before cupcake boutiques popped up all over the city, and I have to give Joan's on Third credit for being my first cupcake stomping ground, but I have to say that I don't find all the new places too overated.
Some people are over the cupcake. I am not. I am always trying new places and going back to old favorites. Even those that are slightly overhyped still have a good treat here and there. For instance, yes, sometimes Sprinkles can be dry, but they do still make the best red velvet in town. Anyways, this is my generic ode to the cupcake. I promise more specific cupcake related entries will be on the way.Until then frosting wishes and cupcake dreams!

Savannah

Okay, I love Savannah. I want to move there. Like, now. I love southern hospitality and I love southern food. I love that it is on the water and they have squares where you can sit and read. There are great stores and SCAD and the SCAD store. You can buy a victorian home in the historic district for under $500,000! This is an amazing city! Seriously, go. Stay at The Mansion at Forsyth Park. Eat pralines. My gosh, I almost forgot about pralines! I could write a whole favorite things on those alone. Okay, done with my nerdiness. Going back to work now.

Thrifty Cotton Candy Ice Cream

I don't know how to put into words how much I love this ice cream. I tried it for the first time over a month ago and have searched every Rite Aid I drive by to find another store with this wonderful ice cream. This past Saturday I finally achieved success! I have found a Rite Aid by my house that carries this masterpiece! I had a scoop on the spot and had a hand packed quart made to take home as well. My friend who was with me tried it and she too is now a fan.

So, why should everyone love this wonderful, creamy, extremely colorful ice cream? Let me list the reasons for you:
1. It seriously tastes just like wonderful spun sugar. How can there be ice cream that actually tastes exactly like cotton candy?
2. The color is so grotesque in its deep purple, hot pink, and play-doh blueness that you can't help but love it. They're colors that only a child is supposed to be intrigued by, yet the fact that it turns my whole mouth blue makes me love it even more.
3. The smell of cotton candy reminds me of annual trips to see Ringling Bros. circus. Who doesn't like a childhood memory?
4. One scoop and one quart totalled under $5! When one medium plain Pinkberry "yogurt" costs $5 that really looks like a steal.
