Ricky's NYC Gel Relaxing Eyemask Mini
There are plenty of gel eye masks in the world, but I have to say these are the cutest. They are only $6 and the little eyelashes on them just make them cute and adorable. I bought two pairs last time I was in New York, but now Ricky's has it's own website so you can buy them no matter where you live! I also think they would be a great addition to a spa gift for a friend-you know, pair them with some bath fizzies and a loofah and you have a spa kit! Enjoy!

Trader Joe's Fire Roasted Vegetables with Balsamic Butter Sauce
I am not a fan of vegetables. It takes everything to get me to actually eat them. I do enjoy grilled vegetables, but I hate taking the time to make them and clean everything up after. So, imagine my delight when I walked the frozen food aisle at Trader Joe's and found Fire Roasted Vegetables with Balsamic Butter Sauce! I buy frozen vegetables a lot with the intent to use them, but I get them home and think "How boring. Plain, old vegetables." But not these. Last night I finally emptied the contents of the bag onto a plate and microwaved it. These veggies were amazing in this balsamic sauce. The sweet and tangy flavor of the balsamic packed a lot of flavor into the veggies and because they are just roasted they are pretty healthy for you. Only 70 calories a serving and a serving is a half cup! I took the rest of the vegetables and divided them into individual portions so they are all ready for the next few nights. I'm so glad I finally found vegetables I enjoy!

Rent
A major favorite thing. I love the musical "Rent". It taught me compassion. It taught me how to feel for people even if you don't agree with everything they do. Not to mention it is just beautifully done. The staging is creative and artistic, and for some reason I love being taken back to the 90's when I watch it.
Last Saturday I saw "Rent" for the 4th time. This showing was with Adam Paschall and Anthony Rapp, the original Roger and Mark. To say this was a treat is the understatement of the year. For me, it was 12 years of dreaming come to life. They were excellent, even if they are too old for the young starving artist roles they portray. I frankly was just excited to hear their voices live!
If you've never seen the show, I obviously highly recommend it. If you can't see the show, just listen to the soundtrack. Some of the music is a bit wacky, but most is just beautiful and the message of "No Day But Today" is one we all need to remember.
